"LEONARDO’S CODES"

Programme "LEONARDO’S CODES."
The significance of Leonardo da Vinci’s personality attracts creative and intellectual people of Europe and the world irrespective of their age. His ideas are as pressing as ever.
Who is he – the Man of New Renaissance?
What traits should he have?
These are the burning issues facing the mankind nowadays.

Programme "LEONARDO’S CODES"
is aimed at identifying and demonstrating of creativity and depth of understanding of the great Leonardo and the Renaissance heritage by modern artistic and intellectual elite. The Programme is long-term and cross-functional. It includes the following areas and projects:
•Exhibition
•Scientific
•Educational
•Tourist, and others.
One of the most spectacular areas of the programme is the international exhibition project “Ideas and images of Leonardo da Vinci in the works of modern craftsmen.”
Is artistic heritage of the great genius of the Renaissance comprehensible to modern craftsmen?
Talent and skills of the participants of the international project, combining loyalty to the traditions and determination to the future, can embody their boldest ideas into both traditional and innovative forms and materials. Form acquires new content, while a deep philosophical thought turns a subject of art into a powerful tool of communication and interaction between civilizations.

“An artist is as a magician, as a time machine: he can either make, reconstruct a thing as a subject of the history of the past or update, modify ideas in a way we perceive and apprehend them nowadays, and then turn this perception into specific items… It is interesting to see and, quite unexpectedly, discover that history is not a static moment as we got used to perceive it, but that history never cease. Yesterday is today, and maybe even tomorrow… The artist allows us to apprehend it specifically and unconventionally. The artist himself is interested in solving probably the most difficult problem facing him: to create something new, to express some abstract idea…”
